Etsy. (AAAAAAH ETSY ! – oups, pardon-). Depuis que j’ai découvert ce site, je dois dire que j’y passe pas mal de temps. Moi qui adore dénicher, je suis en adoration (rien que ça, oui !). J’ai une wish-list qui fait plus de 3000 pages (#ahem), entre belles illustrations, objets un brin kitsch (& pour la plupart inutiles), jolis accessoires & bijoux uniques. Bref.

La semaine dernière je publiais l’interview de Noa, créatrice de The Urban Lady, laquelle j’avais eu un réel coup de coeur. Aujourd’hui, je vous présente Amy & ses belles créations.

The person behind the name? 

I am a wife celebrating 3+ years of marriage and a mother of a 15 month old son. I love to design and create. It runs in the family. My mom sews, my dad was an architect, my sister is the owner & designer of Twigs & Honey. I just couldn’t help myself. I am a workaholic but am trying to be better about making time for myself. 

 What is your career ?

My business is my career. I used to be a Certified Medical Assistant but gave it up to be a stay-at-home mom. I love what I do. I get to make beautiful things and be with my baby everyday!

What are your sources of inspiration?

My inspiration comes from a lot of different places. Sometimes they just pop into my head while I’m falling asleep. Sometimes I sketch a bunch of designs and then try them all out until I find one that works the best. Other times I just lay out several items, put them together, move them around and see what comes.

 Would you say that your creations look like you? What is the one who(which) looks like you most?

Yes, my tagline is Simple Everyday Pretty and I feel like all my pieces fit that perfectly. They’re all pieces that are simple and you can wear them everyday. And most importantly they just make you feel pretty. I like my look to be simple and clean so my favorite pieces are my long layering chain necklaces and hand-formed stud earrings.

 What are your projects for the future?

I have quite a bit of future projects in mind and they’re all secrets, but I can tell you that I am expanding my business to include lots of other simple everyday pretty items. :)
